Brakhage Symposium 2011 Recap (Prelude)

Damned school work once again stealing away the bulk of my time seemingly without remorse, so like last year I'm throwing up my notes and the (painfully amateur) pictures I took to both buy myself more time and hopefully help my general thoughts on the experience materialize in a more concrete manner...

Brakhage Symposium 2011

Hard to believe it's already been a year, but the 2011 incarnation of the now Seventh Annual Brakhage Symposium gets underway this weekend at the University of Colorado at Boulder, with a specific focus on exploring "expanded notions of documentary and ethnography."  Especially exciting for me will be having the opportunity to listen to Scott MacDonald in person, as his writings have been as invaluable as any in fueling my passion.  I'll be driving down Friday afternoon to attend the events on Saturday and Sunday, and will have a recap (hopefully with plenty of pictures this time) sometime shortly thereafter...

In the meantime a fairly detailed schedule has been put online for your browsing pleasure...
